Adult Social Care Policy Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our Specialist Palliative Care Services in Bassetlaw. As Clinical Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the clinical teams working across the service, including the inpatient unit and day services.
You will work closely with the Head of Service and be responsible for managing bed state, incidents, rosters, and staff management. The role will also involve deputising for the other Clinical Team Leader in their absence and supporting the Head of Service in duties as required.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, energy, and enthusiasm, and be eager to take the most from this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day running of the hospice team, including patient care, bed state, incidents, rosters, and staff management.
- Work closely with the Clinical Team Leader at John Eastwood Hospice and benefit from the support of a Band 6 Ward Leader.
- Deputise for the other Clinical Team Leader in their absence and support the Head of Service in duties as required.
- Lead the vision for developing inpatient specialist palliative care services as the Hospice goes through a period of change and ongoing expansion of services.
- Use evidence-based practice and own skills and knowledge to introduce improvements and support staff training and development.
- Undertake and critically analyse audits and provide management of incidents, clinical governance, staff development, and assurance for the inpatient unit.
- Further specialist knowledge/post-registration experience in specific service area or other formal training.
- Specialist degree in palliative care.
- Ability to be flexible and handle conflict issues.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good skills in assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patients' nursing care.
- Experience in a leadership role.
- Specialist and area-specific experience.
- Experience of working in specialist palliative care.

Salary: £43,742 to £50,056 a year per annum pro rata.
