Payroll Manager Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to lead our payroll and pension functions. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional business that is leading the way in its sector.

You will be responsible for developing and managing the payroll function for the business and clients, including the timely input of payroll data.

  • Develop and manage the payroll function for the business and clients.
  • Responsible for the timely input of payroll data, including calculation of maternity, paternity, overtime, overpayments and emergency payments.
  • Ensure the accurate application of pay rises and additional pay increases.
  • Review the monthly payroll and oversee the BACs file for the pay run.
  • Lead on the payroll and pensions processes, ensuring accurate monthly pension and HMRC reporting and submissions.
  • Payroll reporting for senior management team, including variances and overtime reporting.
  • Handle complex salary pensions and tax queries and explain information.
  • Lead on the improvement of payroll systems and processes.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining pension schemes.
  • Liaise with finance, HR and clients in relation to payroll queries.
  • Liaise with HR to ensure HR compliance in terms of legislation, policies and procedures.

Salary: Highly competitive, based on experience and qualifications.

Benefits: 24 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing with length of service, company pension, private health insurance scheme, discounted gym membership, death in service, career progression.

Hours: 37 hours per week, Mon – Fri.

Location: Office based near Exeter, some wfh.
