About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned payroll professional to take on a leadership role, overseeing all aspects of payroll processing. As the Lead Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, managing attendance records, and maintaining detailed payroll information.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Payroll Processing: Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, and benefits administration.
  2. Payroll Reporting: Prepare payroll reports, summaries, and analysis to provide valuable insights to management.
  3. Employee Onboarding/Offboarding: Process new hires, terminations, promotions, and other employee status changes in the payroll system to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  4. Payroll Compliance: Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable UK laws, regulations, and company policies while processing payroll.
  5. Issue Resolution: Monitor and resolve any payroll discrepancies and address issues promptly and accurately.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll management or a similar accounting role.
  2. Proficiency with payroll processing software and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and processes.
  3. Excellent understanding of financial principles and the ability to reconcile payroll with financial records.
  4. Good organisational and time management skills to meet strict payroll deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
