About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated 1st Line IT Support Technician to join our team at BJSS. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our employees, ensuring that our IT infrastructure and services are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line technical support and assistance to employees via phone, email, and in-person
  • Install, configure, and deploy PCs and Apple Macs
  • Update internal IT systems, including helpdesk tickets, asset records, and technical documentation
  • Raise orders for new hardware and software as required
  • Onboard new starters, ensuring equipment is couriered to them when they commence employment
  • Perform IT operations activities, including proactive checking and monitoring of internal IT systems
Requirements
  • Level 3 IT apprenticeship/qualification or similar experience
  • Excellent technical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and focus on own workload
  • Proactive and organized self-starter with excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for learning new skills and technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
