Main Duties

As a member of our Intensive Care Unit, you will be responsible for the care of critically ill patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. You will also be involved in the training and education of junior staff, ensuring that our team is equipped to provide the highest level of care.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine with an interest in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in anaesthetics, with at least 8 years of experience in the specialty. They will also have a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care, with a strong commitment to education and training.

The successful candidate will be required to have full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC), or be eligible for registration within six months of interview. They will also be required to have a strong understanding of the principles of intensive care medicine, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
