As a member of our Intensive Care Unit, you will be responsible for the care of critically ill patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. You will also be involved in the training and education of junior staff, ensuring that our team is equipped to provide the highest level of care.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine with a strong interest in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia. You will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care, and will be able to demonstrate your expertise in this area. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Essential Criteria

  • MB ChB, MBBS
  • Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC), or eligible for registration within six months of interview.
  • At least 8 years working in the speciality of anaesthetics, with at least 2 years' experience in hospitals in the UK.

Desirable Criteria

  • Higher Medical Degree (MD or MSc)
  • Six month advanced general training
  • Record of regular attendance at National Specialty meetings
