About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Specialist - Avionics and Submarines to join our team at Morson Talent in Warton, Lancashire. As a key member of the Dreadnought AVC programme, you will be responsible for the functional design and development of control systems, working closely with partners BAE System's Submarines and Electronic Systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop control systems using Model-Based Design (MBD) techniques, integrating with Control & Instrumentation (C&I), Platform Mechanical, and Software work streams.
  • Develop and harmonise processes in line with Maritime and Air Sector policies.
  • Apply good systems engineering practices to ensure high-quality system designs.

About You: To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in control systems engineering, preferably in a marine or aerospace application. Experience with Mathworks tools, particularly Simulink, is essential. Additionally, you should be proficient in Microsoft Office packages and able to learn new toolsets as needed.

What We Offer: This role comes with a competitive salary of £35 p/h PAYE basic (£40.09 p/h including holiday) or £46, depending on experience. As part of our team, you will enjoy flexibility in your work arrangements, with some on-site working and travel between sites required.

Security Clearance: Due to the sensitive nature of the projects involved, all candidates must be capable of gaining a UK MOD Security Clearance to SC level.

Salary Range: £35-£46 per hour, depending on experience.
