About the Role
The Sell My Car (SMC) Senior Strategy & Marketplace Associate will work closely with senior leaders, collaborating across functions to rapidly diagnose and spot trends, growth opportunities, quickly solve problems, and bring new valuable insight to help the SMC leadership team make the right decisions. This role will involve liaising and aligning with international counterparts to learn quicker and share best practices across our markets, driving the commercial success of the business.

Your Responsibilities
  • Marketplace Health: Identify areas for continued efficiency, focusing on flagging underperforming areas and holding teams to account. Develop operational capabilities to manage key tactical levers and initiate projects to improve marketplace health at a broad scale.
  • Performance Monitoring: Become an internal expert on SMC, accountable for monitoring and reporting on day-to-day trading. Work cross-functionally to identify metrics off track, diagnose issues, and surface them to drive actions that get performance back on track.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and lead weekly trading meetings, distilling complex information into clear, prioritized actions. Follow up on the impact of actions and create a framework to pull the right levers based on insights available.

About You
To be successful in this role, you'll need a passion for data analysis and natural aptitude for problem-solving. You should be able to mould output into a clear storyline and have a creative, entrepreneurial mentality that enjoys experimentation and is willing to take risks. Experience working in a Marketplace business model and overall interest in the automotive industry are also essential. Basic SQL skills are required.
