As our new Technical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing CDM Principal Designer duties while ensuring technical outputs meet the requirements of the Totex Delivery Process and project affordability within agreed timescales.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering complete designs that meet project requirements, embracing technological advancements, and achieving fully attributed 3D models for every project.
  • Developing and embedding standard products, quality standards, collaborative working approaches, and the Risk, Opportunity & Value process to optimize performance and reputation.
  • Driving excellence in Health & Safety by completing required audits and documentation, never compromising anyone's safety during projects.
  • Planning the technical aspects of projects by liaising with Lead Project Managers, Integrated Project Leaders, and Discipline Heads, allocating resources to meet project demands.
  • Effectively managing diverse stakeholder groups as the trusted and visible technical link between Operations, Construction, and Commissioning.
  • Creating an environment where individuals can thrive and develop, enhancing the overall team's performance by consistently pushing boundaries and outperforming.

A little about your skills, experience, and behaviors:

To be successful, you will hold a degree, HNC, or HND in Engineering, have experience in technical roles, and be comfortable managing designs and multi-disciplinary projects.

You will be able to inspire and lead a team, be customer-focused, and have a strong appreciation for collaboration, which can unlock complex projects.

You will assess unique situations, draw upon your technical expertise, and make decisive, safety-conscious decisions to keep projects on track.

With integrity and accountability, you will build rapport and trust among stakeholders and establish yourself and the team across the Alliance.
