Project Director Role Overview
At Ansible Motion, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Director to lead our project teams and oversee a portfolio of projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the project group, managing high-profile projects, and ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing leadership to the project group and its teams, including the project delivery team, procurement team, and logistics function.
- Responsible for leading certain high-profile projects as the designated project manager.
- Accountable for a portfolio of all projects, including customer-facing driving simulator projects and internal R&D projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget.
- Accountable for the tracking of all projects, creation of management information, and key performance indicator reporting.
- Undertaking company-level resource planning and liaising with other groups to ensure projects are adequately resourced to meet targets.
- Development and implementation of project management tools, methods, and processes to improve the overall capability and efficiency of the project management function.
- Leading and developing the procurement team to take a more strategic approach to project purchases while balancing cost-saving initiatives with high-quality standards.
Requirements
- Significant experience in project/program/portfolio management in a technical and/or engineering environment.
- Recognised project management qualification and/or affiliation.
- Understanding of project management methodologies.
- Experience in managing and reporting the financial elements of projects.
- Experience in leading and managing teams, and coaching individuals.
