Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Auditor to join our team at DWP. The successful candidate will have proven experience in conducting Work Capability Assessments (WCAs) and utilising their knowledge of WCA assessment criteria to critique reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct clinical audits of WCA assessment reports to identify areas for improvement
  • Support the DWP Clinical Observation Programme, carrying out real-time observations of health assessments
  • Communicate information and intelligence about assessment quality to DWP and contracted health suppliers
  • Develop Health Professional capability within DWP and its contracted health suppliers to meet highest benchmark standards

About You:

  • Proven experience as a trained WCA auditor with up-to-date knowledge of WCA assessment criteria
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt quickly to change while meeting deadlines

Salary: Up to £49,906 per annum, depending on location and experience.
Location: Birmingham, Blackpool, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Pontypridd, or Sheffield.
Holidays: 26 days rising to 31 days over time, plus 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time.
Pension: A brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%.
