Job Description:

NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a Clinical Supervision Expert to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled nurse to provide high-quality telephone assessments and clinical supervision to members within a multi-disciplinary team.

Salary Information:

The salary for this position ranges from £39,912 to £48,635 per annum, with additional enhancements for working unsocial hours. The estimated hourly rate can be calculated as follows: Basic Hourly Rate (£20.68), Saturday/After 8pm Weekday Hourly Rate (£31.03), and Sunday/Public Holiday Hourly Rate (£41.37).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide autonomous telephone triage and clinical assessment services to patients and/or their carers/relatives.
  • Act as a clinical supervisor, delivering support to NHS 24 frontline staff in real-time.
  • Facilitate the provision of accurate healthcare information and self-care advice or referrals to appropriate care levels.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Registered Adult Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register.
  • Excellent clinical decision-making skills and leadership abilities.
  • Extensive post-registration experience in acute or primary care settings.
