Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are excited to offer a Teaching Assistant position at a high-performing Secondary School in West London.

This role involves working with Sixth Form students who require additional support due to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The successful candidate will be a Team Teach trained professional with prior experience supporting young people with SEND in education.

Role Details

The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting students with SEND.

This is a one-year contract starting September 2024, with potential for career development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted support to Sixth Form students with SEND, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting students with SEND.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting the well-being and progress of all students.
  • Participate in ongoing Team Teach training and CPD activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Team Teach Certified: Essential for managing behavior and supporting students effectively.
  • SEND Experience: Prior experience supporting young people with SEND in education.
  • Passion for Inclusive Education: A true commitment to promoting positive outcomes for all students.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to connect with Sixth Form students and build positive relationships.
  • Commitment: Willingness to engage with the full academic year, supporting students' progress.
