Mines Rescue Specialist

This role is responsible for providing enhanced security services and responding to emergency situations as part of a Mines Rescue Team. The successful candidate will be part of a 24/7 'On Call' duty system to ensure compliance with the Mines Regulations 2014.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver a professional enhanced security service, engaging with clients and stakeholders
- Respond to emergency situations, securing the scene and assisting with evacuation and rescue efforts
- Assist the Mines Rescue Captain in stabilising the area and making it safe
- Provide pre-hospital trauma medical support and maintain the health of individuals in emergency situations
- Extinguish or control fires, and mobilise rescue equipment as required
- Attend emergency response training, exercises, and drills to ensure preparedness
- Secure the scene and preserve evidence, ensuring the site is safe before standing down
- Participate in de-briefing sessions with the Mines Rescue Captain to review incidents and improve response
- Support the daily delivery of the service, promoting safe work practices and reporting findings
- Ensure the safety and security of clients' buildings and assets, adhering to client requirements
- Provide a visible and commanding security presence, greeting and assisting visitors, and engaging in daily dialogue and site tours
- Maintain a high level of health and fitness, appropriate to the role
- Prior experience as a Security Officer in the Security Industry
- A valid SIA Licence or current certificate of completion of SIA training
- Excellent communication and literacy skills, with a presentable appearance
- Ability to work independently, while being part of a wider team
- Strong organisational, communication, and planning skills
- Creative vision and ability to develop flexible solutions
