Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

Best Selection is seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer support and ensuring the successful delivery of our Smart Metering products.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Attend customer sites to support customer and product testing, including quarterly support of DCC interop testing in Manchester.
  2. Field day-to-day customer engagement, questions, escalations, risks, issues through to resolution with internal project/programme and BAU workstreams/departments.
  3. Responsible for the planning, scheduling, and implementation of customer support tasks.
  4. Create and maintain customer products technical documentation, including deployment documentation, functional and technical specifications, and incident reports.
  5. Prepare test reports and correspondence to update customers or team members about project status, progress, and risks.
  6. Perform quality testing to ensure successful delivery of Smart Metering products.
  7. SMETS2 Testing experience is required.
  8. Ability to successfully engage with customers to share delivery plans, risks, and manage customer expectations.
  9. Hold a recognised qualification in Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  10. Manage customer/industry testing defect process through identification to resolution.
  11. Possess a good understanding of system architectures, SQL, and communications technologies.
  12. Excellent customer service skills.
  13. Minimum 3 years of technical customer support experience in a similar role is required.

Please note that this is a full-time 12-month fixed-term contract with a salary of up to £55k and 60% hybrid working.
