Sales Ledger and Billing Officer

We are seeking an experienced Sales Ledger and Billing Officer to join our established finance team at our Head Office in Bromsgrove. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the Group achieves cash collection targets and minimises debts of concern.
Key Responsibilities- Raise sales invoices in line with customer invoicing terms and manage the sales ledger and billing function on a set area of the sales ledger.
- Chase local authority accounts for payment of invoices and deal with queries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Allocate cash received against the ledger and manage queries with regions and customers.
- Reduce current debtor days on the ledger to agreed targets, per customer, per region.
- Maintain concise communication records and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven proficiency using Microsoft Word packages and experience within a similar role.
- The ability to meet strict deadlines on time, every time, and experience of using Access or similar integrated system.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to network at all levels.
