Job Summary

We are seeking a Retail Sales Assistant to join our team at Parteen Co-op Superstores. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing point of sale processes, and maintaining store presentation and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver best-in-class service to customers, providing expert advice on products
  • Deal with customer queries, including telephone queries, in an efficient and professional manner
  • Restock display areas regularly to ensure product availability
  • Maintain the highest standards of store presentation and cleanliness
  • Manage point of sale processes, including cash, card, and credit transactions
  • Adhere to policies and procedures for the security of cash and merchandise
  • Participate in regular stock taking, including daily cycle counting and stock counts
  • Be flexible across a range of departments
  • Product coding, pricing, and updating of prices on goods for re-sales
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desired but not essential
  • Experience within the Agri sector/Builders provider/Hardware would be an advantage but not essential
  • Be prepared to work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment with a strong customer focus
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to be flexible when the occasion demands it
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
