Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Cost Controller to support our major projects and organizations in delivering accurate and timely project information. The successful candidate will drive the cost performance reporting for the project, including Earned Value Management metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project cost control data structures to accurately track and control actual costs
  • Establish and set the project control budget aligned with agreed baselines
  • Track actual costs for internal and external expenditure against cost control structures
  • Track and control project accruals and commitments against set budget constraints
  • Build project forecasts, including estimated work to complete (ETC) and estimate at complete (EAC)
  • Accurately and timely report all project information, including Earned Value Management
  • Track project contingency and exposure associated with risk events and remaining risks on the project
  • Track project change control to ensure alignment with agreed baselines and control data structures
  • Track key project trends to inform future change controls

Requirements

Typically, a qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with five to ten years of experience in delivering project controls services for major projects or programs.

Delivered cost engineering across a range of major projects, preferably across multiple sectors and internationally. Worked across the full project lifecycle, including pre-investment decision, design development, execution, and commissioning phases.

Experience in working to cost engineering procedures and processes, with the ability to define project cost procedures and standards.

Highly conversant with cost management systems, such as Prism and Ecosys, including interface with corporate finance systems like SAP and Oracle.

Appreciation of business rules and how project funding and performance aligns with business financial account requirements within the project or program environment.
