Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing Refurbs / Planned Maintenance

We are working with a leading Social Housing contractor to recruit an experienced and successful Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the East Midlands to deliver a planned works and decarbonisation project.

We are looking for a proven commercial professional with experience in refurbishment programmes, ideally within the Social Housing sector with knowledge of internal and external planned maintenance programmes and a comprehensive commercial understanding of subcontractor procurement and cost management, the CVR process as well as excellent client relationship skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Control all expenditure and ensure value for money
  2. Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
  3. On-board subcontractors/suppliers and manage day-to-day cost control & monitoring
  4. Process subcontractor requests for payment via application & invoice
  5. Attend project & company-related meetings and ensure timely cash flow management
  6. Maintain & develop professional relationships with clients & customers
Essential Quantity Surveyor Experience:
  1. Degree or other technical qualification
  2. Quantity Surveying experience with a main contractor
  3. Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge
  4. Proven track record delivering contracts on time and within budget
  5. Negotiating, communication & presentation skills
  6. Knowledge of Supply Chain management and RICS / CIOB qualification
