Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Cost Engineer to support major projects and organizations in delivering accurate and timely project information. The successful candidate will drive cost performance reporting, track actual costs, and establish project control budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project cost control data structures to track and control actual costs
  • Establish and set project control budgets aligned with agreed baselines
  • Track actual costs against cost control structures
  • Control project accruals and commitments against set budget constraints
  • Build project forecasts, including estimated work to complete and estimate at complete
  • Accurately and timely report project information, including Earned Value Management
  • Track project contingency and exposure associated with risk events and remaining risks
  • Track project change control to ensure alignment with agreed baselines and control data structures
  • Identify key project trends to inform future change controls

Requirements

Typically, a qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with five to ten years of experience in delivering project controls services for major projects or programs.

Delivered cost engineering across a range of major projects, preferably across multiple sectors and internationally. Experience working across the full project lifecycle, including pre-investment decision, design development, execution, and commissioning phases.

Highly conversant with cost management systems, including Prism and Ecosys, and the ability to define project cost procedures and standards.

Appreciation of business rules and how project funding and performance aligns with business financial account requirements.
