Job Title: Finance Functional Consultant

Ricoh UK is seeking a highly skilled Finance Functional Consultant to join our team in Watford. As a key member of our IT Solution Design team, you will play a crucial role in leading the solution design and implementation of key IT projects, coordinating with partner teams on configuration, testing, and training, and serving as a key IT point of contact for Ricoh finance teams.

Job Summary:

The Finance Functional Consultant will be responsible for leading the analysis, design, and oversight of the implementation and deployment of key IT projects in the finance area. This includes expanding and refining system requirements, design, and implementation of system changes to support process improvements, and providing information to support key decisions and recommendations to executive management on current and future business area processes and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the solution design and implementation of key IT projects in the finance area.
  • Coordinate with partner teams on configuration, testing, and training.
  • Serve as a key IT point of contact for Ricoh finance teams.
  • Assist in expanding and refining system requirements, design, and implementation of system changes to support process improvements.
  • Provide information to support key decisions and recommendations to executive management on current and future business area processes and policies.
  • Take ownership of specific projects within the finance area, managing communications and coordination with other internal teams and third-party partners to deliver to project timelines.
  • Become a technical and functional Subject Matter Expert on both our legacy eBusiness & Cloud solution, providing insights and recommendations into continuous improvements to our existing systems and processes.
  • Manage the design, implementation, and testing of enhancements to ensure financial compliance.
  • Work as part of a cross-workstream scrum team, delivering solution design, functional design, build, testing approach, operational transition, and post-go-live support.
  • Own the documentation of system configuration, design, and processes for project areas, ensuring that training documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Lead internal up-skilling sessions with our IT Application Support and Shared Service Centre teams to ensure they understand new functionality and can respond to support tickets from the business.
  • Own the documentation of any data migration processes, monitoring, and reviewing the data migration team to ensure they are following processes, and assisting in resolving any issues that arise.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working within a business finance function, preferably with Oracle finance applications (e.g., Oracle eBusiness 11i, R12, Fusion).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written, with a second European language (French, Spanish, or German) being useful but not essential.
  • Demonstrated project management capability, including use of project management methodologies and approaches.
  • Understanding of localization regulatory & tax requirements in a number of European countries.
