Reed Education is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the Head Teacher at a secondary school in Lancaster.

This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to positively impacting the educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative and personal assistance to the Head Teacher.
  • Manage schedules, appointments, and correspondence with a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
  • Serve as a point of contact for students, staff, and external parties, maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
  • Organise and prepare documents, reports, and presentations as required.
  • Assist in the coordination of school events and meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records and files in accordance with school policies.
  • Support the Head Teacher in daily school operations and administrative tasks.
Requirements:
  • Recent relevant experience in administrative and PA work.
  • Reliability, commitment, and interest in working within an educational setting.
  • Exemplary role model qualities such as compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, punctuality, and patience.
  • Confidence in working with children and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure, including a Children's barred list check (or willingness to obtain one).
