Job Title: Assistant Care Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Assistant Care Manager to join our team at M&D Care. As a key member of our residential support services, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs, including those with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Report to the Registered Manager and work closely with the in-house specialist support services team.
  • Develop and implement person-centred care plans to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to individuals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care delivery, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Act as an ambassador for the service, establishing and maintaining good relationships with care teams, service users, and colleagues.
  • Assume responsibility for managing the service during the Registered Manager's absence.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Support Workers, ensuring they have the necessary direction and support to deliver high-quality care.
  • Contribute to team collaborative working, responding positively to colleagues and actioning all reasonable work instructions promptly.
  • Assist with the management and motivation of staff, including training, development, supervision, appraisals, and mentoring.
Requirements:
  • QCF level 3 in health and social care or equivalent, with a commitment to working towards level 4/5.
  • Experience of the care sector, the regulatory framework, and service delivery with excellent working knowledge of the essential standards and statutory inspections in social care.
  • Passionate about working with individuals who have learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviour.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, customer service skills, and experience of developing strong relationships with service users, family members, health professionals, and local authorities.
  • Commitment to enabling people to live fulfilled and independent lives, both within their homes and the wider community.
