Job Title: Specialist Support Manager

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Specialist Support Manager to join our team at M&D Care. As a Specialist Support Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to vulnerable adults with complex needs, including those with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Support Workers to provide person-centred care and support to individuals with complex needs.
  • Develop and implement care plans that promote independence, dignity, and well-being.
  • Work closely with the Registered Manager and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care and support services, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Support Workers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including healthcare professionals and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to care and support.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards, including the Essential Standards and Statutory Inspections in Social Care.
Requirements:
  • QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, with a commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Experience of working with individuals with complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Computer literacy, with experience of Microsoft packages and other relevant software.
