Job Title: Assistant Care Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Assistant Care Manager to join our team at M&D Care. As a key member of our residential support services, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs, including those with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Report to the Registered Manager and work closely with the in-house specialist support services team.
  • Develop and implement person-centred care plans to ensure the highest quality of care for vulnerable adults.
  • Monitor standards of care delivered by qualified and unqualified care staff and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist with the management and motivation of staff, including training, development, supervision, appraisals, and mentoring.
  • Facilitate activities that promote dignity, independence, and well-being for individuals supported.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Manager to implement policies, procedures, and business objectives.
  • Ensure all records are maintained, monitored, and evaluated to ensure effectiveness.
  • Act as an ambassador for the service by establishing and maintaining good relationships with care teams, prospective supported people, and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • QCF level 3 in health and social care or equivalent, with a commitment to working towards level 4/5.
  • Experience of the care sector, regulatory framework, and service delivery, with excellent working knowledge of essential standards and statutory inspections in social care.
  • Passionate about working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviour.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, customer service skills, and computer literacy, with experience of Microsoft packages.
  • Commitment to enabling people to live fulfilled and independent lives, both within their homes and the wider community.
