We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at a respected Social Justice Charity in Lancashire. Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement tailored support plans to meet the unique needs of service users.
- Engage with referral agencies to generate service referrals and build strong relationships with external partners.
- Support service users with practical tasks and life skills development, promoting their overall well-being and self-sufficiency.
- Ensure properties are adequately maintained and re-let promptly, maximizing rent collection and managing welfare benefit claims effectively.
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners to deliver holistic service delivery, adhering to safeguarding and data protection protocols.
- Prior experience in a similar support role, working with vulnerable individuals in housing settings.
- Strong communication and engagement skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with service users.
- Knowledge of welfare benefits and tenancy management, with a focus on maximizing rent collection and minimizing void periods.
- Ability to work effectively with external agencies, promoting collaborative working and positive outcomes.
- Competency in maintaining accurate records and reporting outcomes, with a focus on continuous improvement and service development.
- 35 hours (paid), 5 hours lunch (unpaid) Mon - Fri, with occasional Saturdays and one 2-10pm shift every 4-5 weeks.
- 3 Month Contract (Likely to Extend), with opportunities for professional growth and development.
