Job Title: Extra Care Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate support professional to join our team at SCA Care. As an Extra Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our residents, promoting their independence and dignity. You will work closely with our care teams to ensure seamless delivery of care services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide person-centred care and support to residents, responding to their individual needs and preferences;
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and medication management;
  • Support residents to maintain their physical and mental health through regular exercise and social activities;
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated care services;
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful team environment, supporting colleagues and promoting a culture of inclusivity and diversity.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care (or related field);
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends;
  • Experience working in a care setting, preferably in an Extra Care Scheme;
  • Knowledge of adult safeguarding procedures and protocols;
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and furniture as required.
Salary and Benefits:

Our competitive salary is £20,000 per annum, paid bi-weekly (£962 per fortnight), plus annual leave entitlement and access to our employee benefits package.
