We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Youth Development Specialist to join our team at Academics. As a specialist in restorative practices, mental health, and education, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with complex needs, including those with SEMH, ADHD, Asperger's, OCD, and Dyslexia.
- Develop and implement restorative practices to promote positive behavior and social skills.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create personalized learning plans and deliver key and personal/functional skills.
- Participate in MAPA and ABA training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment that promotes social, emotional, and mental well-being.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree in a field such as Psychology, Criminology, or Education.
- Experience working with vulnerable young people and those at risk of offending.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
