Reed Talent Solutions is delighted to be partnering with Fox's Burton's Companies (FBC UK) to recruit for a Mixing Operative role. FBC UK is a leading biscuit manufacturer in the UK, producing a wide range of iconic brands including Maryland, Fox's, Jammie Dodger, and Rocky.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our production team as a Mixing Operative. This role is critical to the smooth operation of our manufacturing lines, ensuring that production lines are adequately supplied with mixes and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate hand trucks, power-trucks, and counterbalance trucks safely, completing necessary safety checks.
  • Respond to requests from department Line captains and section managers.
  • Ensure smooth communication with the production team, including shift handovers, mixer operation, and logistics.
  • Complete relevant checks, including sieve integrity, pre-start checks, and foreign matter inspections.
  • Maintain correct stock rotation and monitor changeovers to ensure efficient production.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of written and spoken English, plus numeracy skills.
  • Willingness to learn and be flexible in tasks required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Prior experience in mixing rooms or operating hand trucks, power-trucks, or counterbalance trucks is advantageous.
