The Role

We are seeking a skilled Process Operator to join our team on a night shift basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an efficient and safe operation of processing equipment, while checking quality attributes and specifications.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Checking programme/oven profile and relevant recipe sheets
  • Ensuring relevant programme is entered into the computerised bulk feed system
  • Refilling hoppers as required and preparing and adding pre-mix batches
  • Checking all guards are fitted correctly and ingredient hoppers are assembled and ready for use
  • Checking webs and tracking, rectifying and reporting any faults
  • Setting up, operating and controlling the rotary moulder and baking oven, making adjustments as required to maintain standards/specifications and reporting any faults
  • Setting up, operating and controlling the cream mixing equipment and creaming machine, including all associated handling and use of ingredients and making adjustments as required to maintain standards/specifications and reporting any faults
  • Setting up, operating and controlling the chocolate enrober and chocolate cooler, making adjustments as required to maintain standards/specifications and reporting any faults
  • Setting up and maintaining chocolate supply to meet demand within the factory
  • Regularly monitoring product for any sign of deviation from standards/specification
  • Ensuring colour standards and control sheets are checked/recorded and are correct
  • Keeping working area clean and tidy at all times and keeping plant equipment clean

The ideal candidate will have good understanding of written & spoken English, numeracy skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. They will also have good planning and organising skills, and the ability to drive line efficiencies and control waste.
