Reed Talent Solutions is delighted to be partnering with Fox's Burton's Companies (FBC UK) to recruit for a Mixing Operative role. FBC UK is a leading manufacturer of biscuits in the UK, with a strong presence in the market. The company is committed to innovation and excellence, and is looking for talented individuals to join its team.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mixing Operative to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production lines are adequately supplied with mixes and materials, and will work closely with other team members to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate hand trucks, power-trucks, and counterbalance trucks safely, completing necessary safety checks
  • Respond to requests from department Line captains and section managers
  • Ensure smooth communication with other teams to ensure the operation runs smoothly
  • Complete relevant checks, including sieve integrity, pre-start checks, and mixer weigher sheets
  • Operate Promtek correctly and maintain stock rotation
  • Monitor changeovers and ensure mixes are ready when the line changes over
  • Supply baking lines with mixes on request
Requirements
  • Good understanding of written and spoken English, plus numeracy skills
  • Willingness to learn and be flexible in tasks required
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from others
  • Prior experience in mixing rooms and/or hand truck/power truck/counterbalance truck operation is advantageous
  • Good planning and organizing skills
