Job Title: End-to-End Supply Planning Transformation Lead

Overview

The Strategy & Operational Excellence team at Waters Corporation is driving a transformation in how we plan, buy, make, and distribute products in our Global Operations. Our focus areas include Strategy, Processes and Systems, Continuous Improvement, and Insights.

As End-to-End Supply Planning Transformation Lead, you will be responsible for driving improvements to process and system capabilities related to demand planning and forecasting feeding into our enterprise-wide IBP process. This will require collaboration with and influencing colleagues across our global network, leveraging your domain knowledge and leading a cross-functional team to design, test, deploy, and drive adoption of new processes and systems.

This role will report to the Sr. Director, Business Planning Excellence.

Location: Milford (US) or Wilmslow (UK)

Responsibilities
  1. Lead Demand Planning and Forecasting Process design and implementation, first in pilots and later the roll-out to the entire Waters corporation
  2. Establish and lead a cross-functional team of subject-matter experts from both business and technology backgrounds from Finance, Commercial, Portfolio Management, and Supply Chain
  3. Work with functional leaders across functions and sites to develop a good understanding of current processes and systems
  4. Identify best practices to be adopted into current business processes
  5. Create a prioritized roadmap of changes to be introduced, working with both business leaders on other transformation leads to reach alignment
  6. Design and validate proposed changes
  7. Deploy new processes and functionality, leveraging data science approaches
  8. Measure adoption and adherence, execute interventions to drive increased adoption and adherence where necessary
  9. Collaborate with stakeholders outside of Global Operations to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise, e.g., with respect to master data governance, and enterprise IT systems
  10. Develop and attract best-in-class talent
Qualifications
  1. 7+ years progressive experience in supply chain planning, finance, or operations, including working knowledge of one or more specific areas, esp. demand planning or finance or sales
  2. Experience building and managing cross-functional teams
  3. Process discovery, design, and implementation experience
  4. Knowledge of SAP capabilities, specifically SAP ECC and APO DP
  5. Experience designing and deploying SAP-based processes and functionality
  6. Appreciation of UX best practices in the context of internally deployed solutions
  7. Strong project management skills, experience creating and executing multi-disciplinary projects
  8. Strong influencing skills, proven ability to work across organizational boundaries driving change and harmonization across a global organization
  9. Collaborative, listens and assimilates other viewpoints to come up with a better solution
  10. Agile and responsive, able to handle multiple priorities, act with urgency, and manage ambiguity
  11. Customer-centric, invests time in understanding customer requirements
  12. Results-oriented, takes ownership and operates with high sense of urgency. Proven track record of solving problems, breaking down barriers and delivering results ahead of schedule
  13. Strong written and verbal communication
  14. ASCM certification a plus
  15. Experience with SAP APO DP or IBP and Celonis a plus
  16. BSc Degree or equivalent in an Engineering, Science or Supply Chain discipline. Master's Degree or equivalent industry experience preferred
