End-to-End Supply Planning Transformation Lead

The Strategy & Operational Excellence team at Waters Corporation is driving a mission to enhance both customer and employee experience by transforming the way we plan, buy, make, and distribute products in Waters Global Operations. The team focuses on four key areas: Strategy, Processes and Systems, Continuous Improvement, and Insights.

As End-to-End Supply Planning Transformation Lead, you will be responsible for driving improvements to process and system efficiencies related to a cross-functional demand planning and forecasting feeding into an enterprise-wide state-of-the-art IBP (integrated business planning) process. This will require collaboration with colleagues across our global network, leveraging both your domain expertise and cross-functional team leadership to design, test, deploy, and drive adoption of new processes and systems.

This role will report to the Sr. Director, Business Planning Excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Demand Planning and Forecasting Process design and implementation, first in pilots and later the roll-out to the entire Waters corporation
  2. Establish and lead a cross-functional team of subject-matter experts from both business and technology backgrounds from Finance, Commercial, Portfolio Management, and Supply Chain
  3. Work with functional leaders across functions and sites to develop a good understanding of current processes and systems
  4. Identify best practices to be adopted into current business processes
  5. Create a prioritized roadmap of changes to be introduced, working with both business leaders on other transformation leads to reach alignment
  6. Design and validate proposed changes
  7. Deploy new processes and functionality, leveraging data science approaches
  8. Measure adoption and adherence, execute interventions to drive increased adoption and adherence where necessary
  9. Collaborate with stakeholders outside of Global Operations to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise, with respect to master data governance, and enterprise IT systems
  10. Develop and attract best-in-class talent

Requirements:

  • 7+ years progressive experience in supply chain planning, finance, or operations, including working knowledge of one or more specific areas, esp. demand planning or finance or sales
  • Experience building and managing cross-functional teams
  • Process discovery, design, and implementation experience
  • Knowledge of SAP capabilities, specifically SAP ECC and APO DP
  • Experience designing and deploying SAP-based processes and functionality
  • Appreciation of UX best practices in the context of internally deployed solutions
  • Strong project management skills, experience creating and executing multi-disciplinary projects
  • Strong influencing skills, proven ability to work across organizational boundaries driving change and harmonization across a global organization
  • Collaborative, listens and assimilates other viewpoints to come up with a better solution
  • Agile and responsive, able to handle multiple priorities, act with urgency, and manage ambiguity
  • Customer-centric, invests time in understanding customer requirements
  • Results-oriented, takes ownership and operates with high sense of urgency. Proven track record of solving problems, breaking down barriers and delivering results ahead of schedule
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • ASCM certification a plus
  • Experience with SAP APO DP or IBP and Celonis a plus
  • BSc Degree or equivalent in an Engineering, Science or Supply Chain discipline. Master's Degree or equivalent industry experience preferred
