Job Title: Advanced Social Work Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Social Work Practitioner to join our team in Worcestershire. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work directly with families who are identified as Children in Need under Section 17 of the Children Act 1989.

About the Role

The Safeguarding Children in Need team operates across three geographical pods: Wyre Forest and Bromsgrove. You will be responsible for working with children and families who require support and guidance to ensure their well-being and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with children and families who are identified as Children in Need under Section 17 of the Children Act 1989
  • Develop and implement support plans to ensure the well-being and safety of children and families
  • Collaborate with other professionals to provide a comprehensive service to children and families
  • Conduct assessments and reviews to determine the level of support required by children and families
  • Provide guidance and support to children and families to help them access services and resources
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children and families in a social care setting
  • Knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and related legislation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
