Advanced Social Work Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Social Work Practitioner to join our team in Worcestershire. As a key member of our Safeguarding Children in Need team, you will be responsible for working directly with families who are identified as Children in Need under Section 17 of the Children Act 1989.
About the RoleThe Safeguarding Children in Need team operates across three geographical pods: Wyre Forest and Bromsgrove. You will work with children and families who have stepped down from a child protection plan and consent to ongoing support via a child in need plan, as well as those who are privately fostered, on a Supervision Order, or have a Special Guardianship Order.
You will also work with families who have no recourse to public funds or resettlement families, as well as babies who were part of the pre-birth pathway and are now born and have been safely living with that assessed parent for a minimal of 3 months.
Key Responsibilities- Work directly with families who are identified as Children in Need under Section 17 of the Children Act 1989.
- Develop and implement support plans to meet the needs of children and families.
- Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to ensure effective support and services are provided.
- Conduct assessments and reviews to determine the level of need and required support.
- Transfer cases to the Safeguarding CIN district team tray in LCS for that child's home address.
We offer a competitive rate of pay, with regular pay at £26.62, Saturdays at £30.61, Sundays at £34.61, Bank Holidays at £53.24, and overtime at £31.94. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including access to training and development opportunities.
