Job Title: Research Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Laboratory Technician to join our team at the University of Cambridge. As a key member of our research group, you will play a vital role in supporting our exciting portfolio of projects related to airways disease and lung cancer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expansion, culture, and differentiation of primary cells directly from patients and mice
  • Complex cell culture experiments, including single cell sequencing, histology, immunohistochemistry/immunofluorescence, and microscopy
  • Collection of clinical samples from partner NHS trusts, requiring occasional driving and out-of-hours work
  • Experience of laboratory research work, including cell culture, basic cell biology techniques, and relevant regulations
  • Knowledge of in vivo mouse work, complex cell culture, immunostaining, and microscopy

Requirements:

  • Experience of laboratory research work, including cell culture and basic cell biology techniques
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and in vivo mouse work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
