Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Support Specialist to join our team in Oaklea House, Barrow-in-Furness. As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing outcome-focused support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and engagement skills, with the ability to demonstrate unconditional regard for those we support. You will also possess skills in assessing needs and proactive risk management, ensuring support planning is tailored to promote an active and fulfilling life.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing direct support to enable clients to lead fulfilling and valued lives, maintain their tenancies, and participate in their local community
- Effectively meeting the needs of our clients and taking additional responsibilities such as rota management, induction of staff, and staff supervision
- Working in a flexible manner, including working days, evenings, weekends, waking nights, and sleepovers
In addition to providing direct support, the Support Specialist role also requires some off-rota time to support the management of service delivery. We offer good conditions of service and a supportive, hands-on management culture.
The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include a probationary bonus, pension contributions, 33 days annual leave, and company-paid enhanced DBS.
