Job Title:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in providing comprehensive care for children with moderate to severe learning disabilities and their families.

The successful candidate will work closely with multi-professional teams to assess, intervene, and provide education to families and carers. Strong links with schools in Coventry & Warwickshire will be maintained.

This role requires flexibility, as the nurse will work agile within the team from a central base in Coventry & Warwickshire. Independent means of transport are necessary.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To hold a caseload independently, assessing behaviours that challenge and providing holistic care for children with complex needs.
  • To undertake comprehensive assessments of children's and families' needs in partnership with other disciplines/agencies.
  • To coordinate care delivery as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • To assess and identify child health needs, considering parenting capacity, environment, and the child's overall well-being.

Person Specification:Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities/Registered Nurse Mental Health - Essential qualification required.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of assessment and management of children's mental health needs and challenging behavior within family contexts.
  • Clinical supervision skills and experience working with children with learning disabilities.
  • Independent travel essential.
Salary: £32,000 per annum
