Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Fabrication Technical Authority. This role will provide technical support to the Asset Integrity Team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and anomalies, shutdowns, turnarounds, and outages.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a large FM term contract, overseeing a team of contract personnel.
- Act as the site Fabrication Technical Authority, evaluating and managing responses to technical queries.
- Provide project management for a portfolio of fabrication-based projects.
- Develop and evaluate tender packages for fabrication work.
- Conduct audits and readiness reviews to ensure projects comply with the project delivery process.
- Liaise with the Operations team to ensure permits and operational controls are in place.
- Drive safety standards and support investigations as required.
- Degree educated in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably with chartered status.
- Strong experience in fabrication and mechanical work.
- Experience in cost management and contract ownership for large FM term contracts.
- Industrial relations experience and a full UK driving license.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
