This is an exciting opportunity for experienced midwives to take on a leadership role in our Labour ward team at Croydon University Hospital NHS Trust.

About the Role

We are looking for forward-thinking, positive leaders who can help us achieve great things. The successful candidate will have a wide range of clinical skills and experience in various settings, as well as the ability to support junior staff while ensuring quality care provision to women.

  • Ensure that Croydon Health Services Trust's policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Have responsibility for the Health, Safety and Welfare of self and others and comply with Health and Safety Regulations and the Trust's Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times, only releasing confidential information obtained during employment to those acting in an official capacity in accordance with the Data Protection Act and its amendments.

Person Specification
  • NMC Registered Midwife
  • BSc in Midwifery
  • Evidence of professional development
  • Assessor/mentorship course or equivalent ALSO/NALS/MOET course
  • Masters in Midwifery or evidence of working towards
  • Professional Midwifery Advocate
  • Managerial/Leadership qualifications and/or experience
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, teaching and presentation skills, and IT skills with awareness of data quality issues.
