About the Role:
CRA GROUP LIMITED is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Surveyor to join our Asset Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all temporary accommodation owned and managed properties are maintained to the highest possible standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Property Maintenance: Conduct site investigations of technical matters, prepare specifications, works programmes, detailed reports, and appropriate correspondence to address problems, including damp inspections, structural inspections, insurance claim inspections, disrepair inspections, health and safety estate inspections.
- Asset Management: Manage your own caseload, be proactive, flexible, and able to work on your own initiative. Ensure that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met, and staff, residents, and property owners are provided with a high standard of service.
- Communication: Encourage and actively engage in positive cross-directorate communications and team working. Ensure communication and the sharing of data between internal and external teams, organisations, and networks.
- Problem-Solving: Think clearly and strategically, find solutions to problems, and make decisions based on sound judgments.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively across teams, services, and partner organisations. Look for ways of improving what we do and how we do it.
- Customer Service: Provide a high-quality service, listen, understand, and deliver. Respond positively and politely, respect each customer as an individual, take responsibility for the customer's issue or problem, and work as a team to deliver the solution.
- Technical Knowledge: Possess a good level of professional knowledge and expertise in planned and responsive maintenance, strong technical ability and knowledge of housing, and excellent knowledge of domestic building technology.
- Qualifications: A recognised building-related qualification to a minimum of HND/HNC level and qualified in HHSRS.
Requirements:
- Driving Licence: Possess a clean driving licence and have access to a vehicle as travelling throughout the borough will be a requirement.
- Physical Ability: Be able to ascend ladders and access scaffolding.
- Continuous Learning: Recognise the need to continually learn and adapt, and be willing to share knowledge and learning with others.
