Job Summary

The Maintenance Surveyor will be responsible for ensuring that all temporary accommodation owned and managed properties are maintained to the highest possible standards. This includes ensuring that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met, and that staff, residents, and property owners are provided with a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site inspections to identify maintenance and repair needs.
  • Develop and implement maintenance and repair plans to ensure properties are maintained to a high standard.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to staff and residents on maintenance and repair matters.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve maintenance and repair efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct surveys of void properties to identify maintenance and repair needs.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve void property turnaround times.
  • Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure effective maintenance and repair services.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in building maintenance and repair.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
