Home-Start Lambeth is seeking a skilled Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. As Treasurer, you will play a critical role in overseeing the charity's financial operations, ensuring we maintain financial stability and meet all our legal obligations.

The successful candidate will provide financial leadership, ensuring that Home-Start Lambeth remains financially viable both in the short and long term. This will involve maintaining an overview of the charity's financial affairs, ensuring financial records are properly maintained, and providing guidance on new financial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the charity's financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide financial guidance to the Board of Trustees and management team.
  • Work closely with the Chief Executive to produce management accounts and report on financial matters.
  • Lead on financial discussions during Board meetings and ensure effective financial stability, budgeting, and planning.
  • Ensure the charity's resources are applied exclusively in pursuit of its objectives.

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Experience of managing financial accounts effectively.
  • Experience in financial reporting and planning.
  • A good understanding of financial legal responsibilities for companies.

Desirable:

  • Experience with charity accounting.
