We are seeking a skilled Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team at Leonardo Helicopters. As a key member of our Structures Team, you will be responsible for developing structural design solutions in collaboration with other engineering departments and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop structural design solutions for our wide product range encompassing conventional helicopters, tilt rotors, and unmanned air systems.
  • Coordinate, create, and deliver static and dynamic analysis & test activities, including airworthiness compliance documentation.
  • Mentor and lead teams of Structural engineers to achieve delivery of fit-for-purpose design solutions.

Requirements:

  • Ability to own problems and provide pragmatic solutions to challenging timescales and budgets.
  • Experience in the analysis of complex engineering structures.
  • Knowledge in conventional (hand calculation) and numerical (finite element) techniques for static analysis.
  • A working knowledge of fatigue and damage tolerance.
  • Knowledge of composite materials and analysis principles.
  • Experience in using MSC NASTRAN and Altair HyperMesh.

Security Clearance: Security clearance is required for this role.
