Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Safety Engineering Lead to join our Product Safety team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading a small team in developing a functional Safety Case and managing its production to a defined schedule.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety analysis, particularly in techniques such as Fault Tree analysis and Event Tree Analysis. You will also be responsible for producing written function safety justifications and liaising with various stakeholders, including System Engineers and Human Factors Subject Matter Experts.

This is a challenging role that requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities. If you are a motivated and experienced professional looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply.

About the Role

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a small team of engineers in developing and implementing safety solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that safety considerations are integrated into all aspects of the product development process.

You will have a strong understanding of safety regulations and standards, as well as experience in conducting complex safety analyses. You will also be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline or a related field.
  • Proven experience in safety analysis and risk assessment.
  • Leadership and management experience, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
