We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Catering Assistant to join our team in Washington, United Kingdom. This role involves supporting the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality food service experiences.

Estimated Salary: £20,000 per annum (£9.50 per hour)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Kitchen Team: Assist the kitchen team in preparing and serving food to customers.
  2. Maintain Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
  3. Inventory Control: Ensure all food items are stored correctly and meet health and safety regulations.
  4. Cooking Equipment Maintenance: Operate kitchen equipment, including dishwashers and ovens.
  5. Supply Chain Management: Help with stock control and restocking supplies as needed.
  6. Waste Reduction: Assist with food waste management and recycling.
  7. Team Support: Support the kitchen team with any other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment is an advantage.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Basic food hygiene knowledge (Food Hygiene Certificate preferred).
