We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Catering Assistant to join our team in Washington, United Kingdom. This role involves supporting the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality food service experiences.
Estimated Salary: £20,000 per annum (£9.50 per hour)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Kitchen Team: Assist the kitchen team in preparing and serving food to customers.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Inventory Control: Ensure all food items are stored correctly and meet health and safety regulations.
- Cooking Equipment Maintenance: Operate kitchen equipment, including dishwashers and ovens.
- Supply Chain Management: Help with stock control and restocking supplies as needed.
- Waste Reduction: Assist with food waste management and recycling.
- Team Support: Support the kitchen team with any other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment is an advantage.
- Food Safety Knowledge: Basic food hygiene knowledge (Food Hygiene Certificate preferred).
