Sustainability Data Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering sustainable initiatives within our own brand product ranges. This involves working closely with the Supplier Performance team to ensure accurate reporting on sustainability metrics.
You will also work with the Buying team to develop products that incorporate sustainable materials, while ensuring compliance with relevant processes and systems. Additionally, you will collaborate with the ESG team to stay up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in sustainability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Rolling out best practice line-level attribution within the product team, including FSC, recycled polyester percentage, and certification flag to ensure accurate roll-up.
- Verifying data inputs from each product team, working with data and reports to understand progress.
- Supporting buying teams with data input into the board system to improve sustainability data quality.
- Producing management information (MI) that reports on progress against sustainable initiatives and supports cost and margin impacts of new initiatives.
- Driving circularity across product ranges and monitoring/reporting through ESG's guidance.
- Supporting the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) mass balance tracking process.
- Improving line-level attribution 'tagging' with cotton percentage and BCI flag to ensure accurate roll-up.
- Chasing BCI credits with suppliers and category colleagues to meet BCI targets.
- Providing support as an Eco Champion within the own brand product team, promoting sustainable initiatives.
- Monitoring transition to sustainable packaging, producing reports to track this program.
- Supporting other departments like marketing on campaigns requiring lower-impact material certifications.
- Monitoring competitors' product sustainability performance and maintaining pace with market ambitions.
