About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Specialist to join our team at USS Investment Management Limited. As a Data Quality Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving member data in line with The Pensions Regulator (tPR) record keeping guidelines.

Your primary responsibility will be to support the Data Quality Manager in identifying, analyzing, and cleansing data issues. You will also assist in the completion and validation of activities related to member data and pensions processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Action ad hoc operational data cleanse requests received from the pension business
  • Carry out manual processes and calculations
  • Check and authorize other team members' work as required
  • Assist in the completion and validation of end-of-year activities in relation to member pensions processing
  • Track and report the progress of data cleanse exercises to the appropriate line manager
  • Use data analysis techniques to identify inconsistencies/anomalies in member data outside of agreed parameters
  • Use available information and resources to understand the impacts of emerging data issues, provide solutions, and execute remediation plans within the required timeframe
  • Escalate non-routine or complex matters to the Data Quality Manager as appropriate
  • Engage with first-line functions to ensure any new or emerging data issues are fully documented and added to the Data Issues Log for triage

About You

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with good knowledge of data administration techniques. You should have excellent interpersonal skills, including stakeholder management, relationship building, and influencing skills. Additionally, you should have strong analytical skills, including data analysis, impact analysis, and solutions.
