Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ESG Sustainability Reporting Specialist to join our team at The Very Group. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and complete reporting of all environmental, social, and governance matters for Very Ireland.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in ESG reporting, sustainability, risk management, auditing, reporting or corporate governance, with experience in regulatory compliance particularly with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and other relevant ESG frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have excellent audit and report writing skills, strong analytical skills to assess and interpret ESG data and metrics, and strong project management skills to oversee the implementation of ESG reporting processes.

We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a flexible hybrid working model, inclusive culture, £1,000 flexible benefits allowance, 30 days holiday + bank holidays, Udemy learning access, bonus potential, up to 25% discount on Very.co.uk, matched pension up to 6%, and more.

About the Role

  • Lead the design and implementation of CSRD reporting requirements for Very Ireland, establishing the reporting practice and its evolution over time.
  • Gather and analyse data related to ESG metrics and ensure the accuracy and completeness of data collected for reporting purposes.
  • Support the annual audit of financial statements to ensure all required ESG metrics and information are included for compliant, robust, and accurate reporting.
  • Monitor and analyse the impact of ESG reporting requirements, including gap analysis and reporting deliverables, and develop implementation plans for ESG reporting standards in cooperation with key stakeholders.

About You

  • Proven experience in ESG reporting, sustainability, risk management, auditing, reporting or corporate governance.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, particularly with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and other relevant ESG frameworks.
  • Proficiency in ESG reporting standards and frameworks, e.g. European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
  • Excellent audit and report writing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and interpret ESG data and metrics.
  • Strong project management skills to oversee the implementation of ESG reporting processes.
