About the Role

Zodiac Maritime is a leading international ship operating company providing a comprehensive range of management services for a diverse fleet of commercial vessels. We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Procurement professional to join our team in London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source high-quality spares and parts in a cost-effective manner for our fleet.
  • Monitor and ensure that ships' masters and chief engineers process requisitions and orders according to company procedures.
  • Provide purchasing guidance, high-risk ports, and approved local ship chandlers to vessels.
  • Coordinate logistics for connecting orders to vessels.
  • Use the procurement system in complete scope and ensure all necessary filings and records are completed.
  • Liaise with technical managers to obtain necessary approvals and place orders.
  • Verify invoices and process variances with technical managers.
  • Keep abreast of new product information.
  • Monitor the performance of approved suppliers and update pricing and sourcing as needed.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience within the maritime industry.
  • Marine procurement experience with category management skills.
  • Strong market awareness and understanding of maritime supply chain components, regulations, market conditions, trade documentation, and insurances.
  • Demonstrated experience in concluding successful negotiations with global suppliers and vendors.
  • Clear, precise, and confident verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commercial aptitude and ability.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with key contacts.
  • Well-developed numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strategic thinking ability.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, collaborative style, and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong focus on delivering quality and meeting deadlines.
